Sarah Haigh began her artistic practice at age nine when she told her parents she was going to teach herself how to draw so she could be an artist one day, just like an admired family friend whose work she adored.

Today Sarah's art practice is inspired by physical and metaphorical spaces, as well as a twin passion for colour and the tactility of paint. Using her hands to manipulate hues and materials allows a point of stillness in time and escape from the busyness of life. She hopes her works allow a visual escape for others.

In 2011 Sarah formed Cache Collective with two fellow Brisbane artists and has exhibited works in Brisbane and Sydney. Her work is held in private collections in Australia and New Zealand.
